Who is developing the theme park?
ESCAPE Cameron Highlands will be jointly developed by the Sim Leisure Group and Hektar Muda Sdn Bhd. On August 2021, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri officiated the signing ceremony in August 2021.

ESCAPE Cameron Highlands will have a European-themed outlook. Visitors to the park will surely be able to experience the best of Europe here. The cold weather in Cameron Highlands makes it the perfect place to have such a theme park which reflects the actual cold environments of Europe.

This will be a truly eco-friendly theme park that runs totally on renewable energy. It is surely a state-of-the-art and technologically advanced place to enjoy and be entertained.

What can you expect to enjoy in ESCAPE Cameron Highlands?
Among the attractions slated to be built here include:

  • The first dry ski slope comes with a 920-meter high ski lift and a 1.2 km slope
  • ESCAPE Gravity Play Slides
  • Street bowling
  • Chasing after the Cheese

What are the plans to open the park?
The development of ESCAPE Cameron Highlands is scheduled to start by the end of 2021, all factors considered including the COVID-19 pandemic. If this is followed, then it will go through 3 phases.

  • Phase 1 – Development that will take 15 to 18 months
  • The first half of 2023 – Opening of the theme park to the public
  • Phase 2 and 3 – Further developments after the park opens.

Is this the only ESCAPE park?
No. There are currently 2 ESCAPE Theme Parks in Malaysia. 1 is in Penang and the other in Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya which houses the longest water slide in the world (as certified by the Guinness World Record). With the new ESCAPE Cameron Highlands, it will surely bring more fun and joy to Malaysians from all walks of life.
