This Tudor style boutique that overlooks the lush greenery woodlands is strategically situated nearby Tanah Rata and Ringlet towns with close proximity to numerous attractions.
Founded by a retired British Army officer, Colonel Stanley Jack Forster began the construction in 1966 and finally completed it four years later and opened its door as a boutique style resort. However, Colonel later sold the Smokehouse to a wealthy businessman in 1977 and continued to spend his time running the Lakehouse Cameron.
History of The Lakehouse
Sadly, his children sold away the property in 1984 as none were interested in running the Lakehouse. Subsequently, the Lakehouse became HPL Hotels & Resorts property in 1989.
